Swinging Shoes
Yesterday was a day for music and fun. There was the usual concert for mom's birthday and a trip to the church grounds. It's what we do when we come here for our visits.
The shoes were very excited to help with the music. They passed out the sing-along books and jumped upon the keyboard excited to play.
Since they don't have thumbs, it's pretty hard for the shoes to play the keyboard, so they just did a lot of tapping. I had to confine them to a small area to prevent them from touching all the programming buttons, but they still had fun.
It was also a day to swing at the church grounds. Here is a picture of them swinging and showing off because they weren't holding on. Since they don't have hands, it's pretty hard for them to hold on. I didn't let them swing very high, but they still had fun!
If you look closely, you will notice that the right shoe is the alpha - always taking the most solid positions and taking up the most room. I never realized that until now. Must have something to do with their birth order.
Our friend chaosdaily arrives today! YAY! We are scheduled for severe storms during the day and a possible tornado tonight. I hope she makes it safely and that things calm down when we head out for Arkansas in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
